The top is also painted in Crimson red but has an additional 3 coats of lacquer in a satin finish giving it a more robust and textured feel. I have repaired these and then scuff sanded the whole unit. Used Rust-Oleum Dark Grey paint on the sides and top. The paint was gloss but I have pulled this back to a satin finish with a coat of polyacrylic to offer better paint protection and give what I think is a better finish and overall look.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor the legs and drawers, I have applied 2 fresh coats of Danish oil.
